HTN Heat Transfer Fluids
HTN fluids are inert, dielectric, nonflammable, hydrofluoroether (HFE) heat transfer fluids. In heat transfer applications, HTN fluids have a low global warming potential and are a good alternative to perfluorocarbons and perfluoropolyethers.
Application Areas
- Compute, transformer and electronic cooling
- Industrial/chemical manufacturing
- Pharmaceutical manufacturing
- Semiconductor manufacturing
- Test equipment cooling
Properties and Usage Benefits
- Chemical and thermal stability for consistent performance in semiconductor manufacturing and supercomputing.
- Low toxicity profile.
- Nonflammable for worker safety in chemical and pharmaceutical industries.
- No residue and clean evaporation.
- Reliable and consistent cooling capabilities able to perform through single-phase and two-phase immersion cooling.
Material Compatibility
HTN fluids are susceptible to extracting plasticizers from elastomers. We recommend that elastomers with low plasticizer content such as butyl, EPDM and EPR be utilized. Compatible with most plastics and electronics.
Safety Profile
Worker safety is one of our main concerns. HTN fluids are non-flammable, and the overall toxicity profile is low. HTN fluids can be mildly irritating to the skin and eyes.
